CHARGit SHORTLISTED FOR HOSPITALITY INNOVATIONS TECHNOLOGY AWARD
At CHARGit, we’re delighted to reveal that we’ve been shortlisted for an Innovations Technology Award. This is in recognition of the benefits we offer to the hospitality sector.
CHARGit allows for multiple devices, such as smartphones, tablets and laptops to charge simultaneously through a surface without the need for plug cables. We have been shortlisted in the Restaurant Tech Live Awards. This is part of Europe’s largest exhibition dedicated to technology in hospitality. The winner is to be announced in September 2017, with judges coming from some of the largest brand names in the industry.
The awards recognise innovation-rich products/devices of cutting edge design and use. Those which help establishments to perform better. CHARGit is particularly relevant to the hospitality industry as it acts as a venue differentiator. All the while driving customer footfall and increasing customer spend.
A FEW WORDS FROM THE DIRECTOR
Hayley Freedman, Director of CHARGit, commented: “To be shortlisted for an award is amazing for us. Having only launched relatively recently, it’s great for CHARGit’s qualities to be acknowledged so soon.”
She continued: “For the hospitality industry, including hotels, bars and restaurants, CHARGit helps to make them stand out while providing a genuine service to customers. In an age where we suffer from ‘charge anxiety’, CHARGit allows for peace of mind as devices charge in a social setting.”
She added: “For hospitality venues, our app flags them up as a CHARGit location. Consequently, this creates visibility, while guests who are charging their devices will be likely to spend more money. One other key element for venues is that our through-surface charging doesn’t require unsightly charging plates. Room décor and aesthetics aren’t impacted at all.”
CHARGit is perfect for hospitality venues thanks to its service offering. A core part of our capabilities includes an app which geographically pinpoints CHARGit locations. Not to mention allowing CHARGit venues to promote special offers and loyalty schemes via it, encouraging customer footfall.
Hayley Freedman concluded: “We’re very much looking forward to Restaurant Live in September and are really hopeful that we’ll win the Innovations Technology Award 2017. Wireless charging is set to take off and it’s great to think we’re at the forefront of delivering this capability to the hospitality industry.”
To see CHARGit at the awards, you can register for free tickets. They take place on September 26th and 27th at The ExCeL in London.
