BETJEMAN ARMS WIRELESS CHARGING
Here at CHARGit, we’ve added another venue to our growing list of wireless charging destinations. The Betjeman Arms in St Pancras International Station has installed several of our CHARGhubs.
The Betjeman Arms is in a fantastic location. It boasts an open-air area that takes in the iconic St Pancras glass train shed, along with extensive indoor seating. The contemporary pub has embraced the latest development in wireless charging. So, it offers three CHARGhubs, which have been fitted under tables in its bar area as an additional service to its customers.
The pub’s position in St Pancras makes it an excellent place to provide charging opportunities for travellers. For those about to embark on long journeys, there’s nothing better than being able to top up the battery for your electronic devices ahead of leaving. Knowing that there’s enough battery in your smartphone allows for peace of mind. Travelling with a dwindling battery life can be an anxious and unsettling experience. Particularly if you don’t have a charger to hand or an easily accessible charging point.
BETJEMAN’S BENEFITS TO BUSINESS TRAVELLERS
For those travelling on business, a top-up of a laptop battery can set you up for a productive train journey. It means you can continue working without the need to worry about finding a suitable plug-in point on board.
The Betjeman Arms is the perfect example of the type of venue we’re looking to appeal to at CHARGit. Offering wireless charging increases dwell time, meaning people are more likely to stay in the place longer in order to top up their batteries. Thus, they will spend more money on food and drink whilst they wait. The relationship works both ways – users are taking advantage of a battery top up while being fed and watered. Meanwhile, the venue is benefiting from increased custom during this time.
Our CHARGit app will also mark the Betjeman Arms as a place to charge wirelessly. We are helping improve its visibility to potential customers and marking it out as a place to visit in order to top up a device’s battery. The final consequence; greatly improved footfall.
We’re hoping that travellers passing through St Pancras will take up the Betjeman’s Arms wireless charging offering. These people will help to improve awareness of its potential and increase interest in making it a more widespread service.
